From the Jungle to Jupiter: Stargazing in Panama's Dark Skies.

Sitting on my surfboard waiting for waves to come, paying attention to every riffle in hopes I might see a turtle pop up it's head in curiosity, or a whale breach the surface in the distance, I, like millions of people around the world found myself also looking up at the sky marveling at what humans have the ability to do - there were people up there by that moon in that very moment!!
It was so hard to comprehend, I mean, I still find the telephone, fax, and light bulb inconceivable yet, at the same time, I had such a deep feeling of pride for those astronauts - so brave to go on that mission and all the people who worked so brilliantly to pull that off. What a relief they are all safe to now tell their story.
Speaking of outer space, have you ever seen the night sky without a trace of light pollution? A true dark sky condition? Many of our guests never have so when they are here at our resort where the sun sets every night at 6:30 PM and the outdoor lights go out at 9, something shifts. You find yourself looking up instead of down and that's when you realize just how much you've been missing.
We hear a lot about getting away from it all - the stress of our daily lives and the overbearing expectations we have of our every day. Morrillo and Panama may seem far away but you only need a plane - not a rocketship. Once you're here - no car needed. You only need your feet to go surf, walk the beach, watch the sunset, hike a waterfall, or snorkel a remote reef. Time to put the phones down, look out and look up, you'll be amazed at what surrounds you.

If you find yourself dreaming of a place like this to get away to when school is out for summer, to celebrate a graduation, or just take a break, Morrillo Beach Eco Resort is that peaceful escape from it all.
