COMPOST TO MINIMIZE WASTE & GROW TREES

When we started our gardens in 2015, we got really deep - elbows deep in our composting systems. We followed all the rules about not including onions and lime peels but the reality now, is that we compost all our veggie and fruit waste from our kitchen only excluding animal products.

It turns out...this works really well for us probably because we only really use it for our tree planting program so there's plenty of time for it to break down and make amazing black dirt to mix with our red clay dirt and plant trees.

We even had a guest take a sample back to the USA for sampling and while we don't really remember all the fancy test results, essentially it's really good dirt to give those little saplings their best chance at a long and fruitful life

Inspired yet? Come plant a tree with us!
