Live and work in Panama? That Time We Trusted Our Guts.

Follow your gut they say. I love them. Do you even know what your gut is? It's said to be your 6th sense. They say, you should also rely on your gut feelings rather than just intellect alone to make decisions with more confidence. I have always known not to trust my intellect...Thankfully, 11 years ago Ryan and I listened to our guts about this place because here we still are, thankful every day that we did.

The idea to live and work in another country wasn't really all that serious at the time we talked about doing it in the early years of our life together, it just sounded like something fun to consider. But, after having traveled to many different countries doing sports we loved, and as we started to enjoy warmer climates, the idea was a fascinating way to explore those far away places.

Hmmm, could we live here? Could we build a business here? Could we love it here? Searching for the right spot was a lot tougher than we thought but as soon as we landed here, we knew right away. Honestly, we kind of had an idea of what we were looking for but essentially, it was our gut that said this was right, no doubt about it. Let's figure this thing out. And so we did.

We knew we needed a place that was great for everyone but perfectfor families. Now, if you know Ryan and I, that may seem quite....ironic. We knew we were never going to have kids but here we were planning to build a business for families!

There's a lot of reasons this place is great for families but the main reason is the estuary we sit on. Estuaries are the nurseries of the sea and there's a LOT to learn about them, but that's not all.

The mangrove surrounding us is truly a magical place for kids. There is no end to how many hours they can safely spend playing, swimming, digging holes, watching and chasing crabs, paddle boarding, kayaking, and you get my point; families love it here. So, while you are considering where to go as a family this upcoming year, go ahead and bump us on up to the top of that list. We won't let you down.

So, what's your gut story? Please do tell. Mine right now is saying it's time for food and a col-col. You see, you should always listen to your gut.
